As a Wisdom Quest alumni, one that has had the blessing of Nature’s grace through the magical Pyrenean Mountains, through the sacred rite of passage, I’m inviting you to be a part of our Wisdom Quest community of individuals that realize a Vision I had on the mountain; to create a Nature Dojo. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to go through this vision to help realize it.
Fresh from my own profound five-day sojourn into the realms of enlightenment (or being up on the mountain for Wisdom Quest this past June), I returned with a revelation burning in my soul. As I gazed upon the enchanting ruin nestled amidst the ethereal embrace of our majestic mountain GorraMendi, it whispered secrets of unity and purpose. Inspired not only by my own Wisdom Quest, but also by the impassioned odyssey undertaken by our esteemed comrades, Zane, Jorge, Roman, Tristan, and Jeff amongst others I have been impelled to forge a grand alliance—an alliance embodied in a Private Real Estate Co-share investment—a collective venture where the costs and stewardship of this sacred dwelling shall be shared among all you intrepid souls who, like me, have embarked upon this voyage of wisdom into Nature’s Intelligence and her majesty’s grace. It will become the Wisdom Quest Alumni’s Nature Sanctuary, continuing to initiate individuals and groups into the rite of passage with Nature Intelligence, while providing a humble yet magical abode for us global travelers.
The vision takes shape as we envisage transforming this dwelling into a sanctuary reminiscent of a sacred nature dojo—a haven wherein the teachings of Wisdom Quest shall echo, where even the most advanced seekers may find solace and enlightenment. This beguiling gem nestled within nature’s embrace shall become a sanctuary for our collective enjoyment and participation. Our numbers, it seems, have swelled to approximately five hundred Wisdom Questers who have ascended this sacred mountain, all of whom have experienced the profound transformation that comes from reconnecting with the wisdom of nature and the depths of our own souls. Together, we possess the power to acquire this haven and sustain it through the ethereal fabric of a beautiful DAO.
Some among us may contribute financial capital, while others may offer their tireless labor, melding our diverse energies into a harmonious symphony that shapes this retreat into a hermitage of resplendence—a haven that fosters the intimate connection to the wisdom of nature and the awe-inspiring enchantment that resides within these verdant hills.

The idea is to buy the land for 100k and reconstruct if for 350-450k with a main house with a ceremony room, kitchen, and lounge and additionally we’d build into the land some hobbit type small apartments for lodging.
The project will take 2 years to build, from permits, architecture designs and implementation. We already have the architect that knows the government agencies and has great approval rating for new projects that restore ruins. We will try to get grants, but would rather not rely on them. We have the artisans as well to keep the style of the Baztan’s charming rock home style that is seen in the region.
We are now raising funds from all of you to build a collective dream dojo where we can immerse ourselves into the beauty of this region, walk in the magical forest, and partake in rites of passages and ceremonies together, while initiating others into our dojo.
As individuals in the community, you will gain access to this sanctuary anytime that it is convenient, to come rest, recharge, re-inspire yourself. Through digital tools and scheduling apps, we will create a structure to “book” your stay during the year between the Wisdom Quest and private ceremonies that will be held there.
Further, we hope to plant a medicinal and permaculture garden mini-farm to enable foods and remedies to be made on the dojo property. The property features two large farmable areas, as well as following the path into another magical river with a unique and special tree holding many ancestral ceremonies.

2. Sweat Equity – as hours given to help build, decorate, or gift some other expertise that helps us achieve a beautiful sanctuary.

Having acquired the enchanting land for 100,000 euros, our next step is to embark on a transformative journey of renovation and creation. To bring our vision to life, we will enlist the services of the talented architect, Maite. As a local and intuitive architect, Maite possesses an innate understanding of the land and its spirit. With her expertise and connections to local artisans, we will embark on the creation of a true Basque natural gem, blending ancient knowledge with modern design.
The renovation process is expected to span approximately two years, encompassing the meticulous design and execution of the project. Maite’s visionary drawings will guide us as we breathe new life into the ruins, infusing them with a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation.
A key element of our plan involves the installation of five unique hobbit houses, pre-made and seamlessly integrated into the hillside. These whimsical abodes will serve as guest houses, offering both short-term and long-term residency options. Nestled within nature’s embrace, they will provide a sanctuary for seekers, fostering an environment conducive to deep reflection and connection.
Once our Nature Dojo is ready to welcome visitors, we shall establish a management software system that streamlines operations and enables seamless community engagement. This innovative platform will empower individuals to easily plan their stays, participate in various wisdom quests, or even utilize the space for their own retreats. By embracing technology, we aim to cultivate a vibrant and interconnected community, united by their shared passion for wisdom and the magic of the Basque Country.
